Regional Sales Manager

Mike Hanson is a Regional Sales Manager with Arkin Sales, Inc. with 37 years of experience in the Powder
& Bulk Solids Industry. For the past 26 years with Arkin Sales Mike has been placing process
equipment into large and small process manufacturing operations throughout MN, ND, SD and parts of IA. Mike develops and maintains key relationships and partnerships in the Ag Processing, Feed, Pet Food, Ethanol, Food and Wood process industries serving OEMs, Engineering Design Build firms, and small to large production facilities.

Mike Hanson is a Regional Sales Manager with Arkin Sales, Inc. with 37 years of experience in the Powder

equipment into large and small process manufacturing operations throughout MN, ND, SD and parts of
IA. Mike develops and maintains key relationships and partnerships in the Ag Processing, Feed, Pet
Food, Ethanol, Food and Wood process industries serving OEMs, Engineering Design Build firms, and
small to large production facilities.

As Regional Manager, Mike is responsible for specifying and selling standalone equipment and
complete systems in milling, screening, air handling, classifying and dust collection applications to
maximize performance providing a competitive edge while at the same time minimizing any process or
performance risk.

Prior to Arkin Sales, Inc., Mike worked with Jacobson Machine Works starting as the Test Facility
Manager in 1987. As manager of the test facility he conducted material size reduction trials across all
product lines including shredding, crushing, hammermilling and pulverizing. With extensive testing in
hammermill applications utilizing different air assist and negative air systems achieved best performance
parameters. He generated a complete data base of materials based on mill settings, horse power utilized
and capacity with a targeted PSD (Particle Size Distribution). This data base is still in use today.
Advancing to Applications Engineer in Sales, Territory Manager and Market Management. As Market
Manager, Mike achieved top sales honors multiple times generating 42% of the capital equipment sales.
Also developed customer service programs which resulted in profitable long term client service
contracts with both captive and non-captive OEM parts.

Mike applies his experience through his relationships and builds teams with key component OEM’s in
solving process application problems, optimizing system capabilities and performance. Whether it’s
assisting with green field projects, expanding production or consulting with Fortune 500 leaders the goal
is to always achieve optimum efficiencies in the best way possible and always finish with the highest
level of customer satisfaction.
